On March 27th, CWSA, the Public Health Department, and the Kingstown Town Board launched Phase 1 of the “Business Walkthrough Initiative” and has been meeting with business owners about their role in keeping the city clean.

The National Solid Waste Management Act No. 31 of 2000, Section 36 is straightforward:

Businesses must make their own waste collection arrangements and ensure their waste doesn't pose a risk to public health or the environment.

Pedestrian litter bins are for pedestrians! 🚮

Businesses must have proper collection arrangements in place.
