Race Report!
After and long , hot week of working on the 340, I made the solo trip to Baton Rouge Raceway last night. It was brutally hot , but well worth it. Had the intention of using this opportunity to just make some laps and get some seat time since this was only my second race this year. Well, when my pill draw was a 5 and that put me starting outside pole for the heat race, that all changed. I won my heat and started on the pole for the feature. I knew most of the better guys in my class was going to run the top, but I just didn’t see enough there to make that choice. So I ran the bottom and checked out on a dry slick track.
My first race alone and my first win of the season. Better yet, no damage again!
It was an awesome night.

Weekend Sweep!
Michael Santangelo does it again . Back to back wins to take night two of the I-55 shootout at Pike County Speedway.

Michael Santangelo Jr. would set fast time in his group for the second night in a row and start on the pole ! Michael drove the 340 rocket ship to victory lane leading every lap!

We also picked up the $500 bonus for winning both nights as well!

It was a brutally hot weekend but well worth the effort.

I can only hope, somehow, they can find a way to do it again!
