Please join us in congratulating another of our very own Mandi Gonzales on being recognized as a Rising Star in the Yuma Sun’s 20 Under 40 Awards!

Mandi’s passion for serving others, her leadership, and her commitment to making a difference are evident in everything she does. As a valued member of Fort Yuma Rotary and Operations Director at United Way, she works tirelessly to strengthen our community and inspire those around her.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well deserved recognition. Congratulations, Mandi! Thank you for all you do to make Yuma a better place.

It comes as no surprise to our Rotary family that Gabi Marshall was recognized as one of the top 20 people in Yuma that are under 40 years old. Gabi has only been with our club since April of 2025 but when she found her passion project - she shined!

Gabi is a talented photographer and a busy mom and active member of her church. She loves leading youth groups and took on our Interact club at Yuma Catholic High School.

Every year, July 4 invites us to celebrate our country and reflect on what patriotism really means. This year carries special weight as we mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a milestone that invites not only celebration, but renewed thoughts about the values we want to live by as a nation. Patriotism is more than flags, parades, or public symbols. It is a steady commitment to the well-being of the country and the people who call it home. Patriotism is love of country expressed through responsibility, integrity, service, and a willingness to strengthen the community around us. For Rotarians, that idea should feel familiar. Rotary has long demonstrated that service above self is one of the clearest ways to strengthen a community and honor the common good. Peace is more than the absence of conflict. In daily life, peace is present when people feel safe, valued, and included, and when trust, fairness, and opportunity take root in a community. That is why patriotism and peace belong in the same conversation.

Patriotism is peace in practice.
Peace is patriotism made visible.

Please help us in welcoming our newest member into our rotary family, Dundee Dempsey. Dundee has been visiting us during our lunch meetings and volunteering with us. She is passionate about helping our community where she and her husband have raised their family. Dundee helps out nonprofits, schools and local businesses with her retail business, Fineline Printing 928. We’re so happy to have you Dundee, welcome to the fun club! 🎉💛💙
