Quinton used to be one of my middle schoolers in our church’s youth group—he and a few others nicknamed me Uncle Dale back in the day (🤣🤣).

A couple weeks ago, he texted me and said, “I’m proposing to Bailey at 6:30AM at Lake Overholser—can you be there?” I’m a morning person, so that was no problem. But I had some doubts about whether he could get his girlfriend out of bed that early… I can’t even get Bre to wake up before 9 without bribing her with donuts or a bomb pop (those 3rd trimester pregnancy cravings)🤣

I showed up as a very casual “morning walker,” camera hidden under my jacket like a rom-com spy, and when they reached the spot decorated by his friends, I popped out and snapped a few shots of the big moment!

Spoiler alert: they actually showed up on time.

Bailey is the nicest human being ever and Quinton has such a great heart! So proud of this full-circle moment—and so honored to capture it.
