This morning, we officially welcomed Training Captain Justin Nickolaus during his oath of office and badge pinning ceremony.

Captain Nickolaus began serving full-time in our Training Division on July 1, 2026. Prior to his promotion, he served as an on-call Lieutenant at Station 51. Since joining West Valley Fire Department in June 2016 at Station 52, Justin has demonstrated a strong commitment to training, service, and the continued development of our members.

Please join us in congratulating Captain Nickolaus on this well-earned achievement as he begins this new chapter of leadership. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on our department and the community we proudly serve.
