On this day in 1956, The Osborne Brothers and Red Allen, who had cut their teeth performing bluegrass in Dayton, OH, walked into the Methodist Television, Radio and Film Commission in Nashville, TN to record “Ruby, Are You Mad?” for MGM Records — one of the most pivotal moments in the history of “Industrial Strength Bluegrass.” 🙌
