Later this month, we are providing a discussion panel on an important topic: supporting domestic violence survivors. We hope to help you understand the processes as you or your loved ones navigate really challenging situations.

The Board has been collaborating with the Springfield Township Police Department, Montgomery County Prothonotary Office, and the Montgomery County Magisterial District Courts to create a space to provide important information regarding the processes of obtaining a Protection from Abuse (PFA) order, seeking Police Department assistance, and accessing local resources.

This event is FREE, open to the public and will be available via Zoom live, and also recorded for future access on the township website.

See you April 29 (Wednesday) @ 7pm!

As of this moment: Our awesome Public Works team has been working since 3AM! Thank you! If you’re wondering, most roads have had one plow and primary and secondary roads have already had two passes. Unfortunately, the snow, sleet and frozen precipitation is falling so fast that it may not look like a big dent—but have faith! The crews are taking a rest before heading back out for what could be upwards of 10 more hours!

Good work everyone, and thank you Springfield for your patience (And good job on your hard work shoveling those sidewalks!) 🥶❄️🥶❄️🥶

Due to forecasted weather conditions, Springfield Township has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY starting at 7PM on January 24, 2026 in effect until further notice.

Key Information For Residents:

❄️Residents are required to move their vehicles off of the street, and those with access to garages, driveways, or other off-street parking are required to use them. Residents without off-street parking may park on the street only on the EVEN-numbered side of the street, as 2026 is an even-numbered year. Where permanent parking restrictions exist, those restrictions will remain in effect.

❄️Trash and recycle collection for Monday, January 26th will be cancelled and postponed to the following business day. Both Monday and Tuesday trash collection routes will have trash collection on Tuesday, January 27th. Please refrain from placing cans at the curb during the storm.

❄️A Code Blue extreme cold weather has been declared for our area. See the article below for information on shelters and resources.

❄️Residents that experience a power outage should call PECO at 1-800-841-4141.
