Worcester Knitty Council
Rev. Payson's Reflection yesterday was very aligned with our own mission of building and strengthening community to support community in the face of a power structure that is increasingly hostile. When we get together at The Village Worcester on Sunday afternoons, there's a lot of skill sharing and crafting happening, but we also get into some pretty lively conversations about Worcester and what's happening here. Thanks to y'all who came through yesterday to talk about the specialized code, weird stuff that yarn does, and how much more difficult it feels to get involved in volunteering in Worcester lately. Who knows what we'll talk about next week?

Hi, folks! We've created a team to fundraise for the 2026 Knit for Food Knit-a-thon, happening Saturday April 11 - though we're going to knit Sunday instead. The annual event was created by fabulous knitwear designer Laura Nelkin as a way to help people access food in the early days of the pandemic. 100% of donations are evenly divided among 4 anti-hunger organizations, each of which has Worcester connections. We'll be knitting virtually unless folks are interested in an in-person meetup. Stay tuned for more details!
Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon 2026 Join us on April 11th, 2026 for the 6th annual Knit for Food Knit-a-thon. This 12-hour knitting marathon raises funds and awareness to combat hunger and food insecurity!
