We thought we would take a moment to give an update on our re-opening plans. It was just announced that studios in Massachusetts can open as soon as June 22nd, however we have chosen to remain closed at this time.

This is not an easy decision to make. We are eager to get back to work but want to make sure we can do so safely. Safety has always been our highest priority and is more important now than ever.

Many of our suppliers have been closed or have limited supplies due to Covid, making it increasingly more difficult to get the supplies we need, like gloves and disinfectant. Opening will require us to need more PPE than usual, and we will be going through it faster than before. PPE prices have gone up, and there still is little consistency. This is worrisome for many reasons, but mostly making sure we have exactly what we need, and enough of it, to stay open.

Our jewelry suppliers have also been affected by closures. Though some companies are reopening, some are now closing due to their location in the country. This means that getting in jewelry we need has been slower than usual or not an option at all. And of course this affects our ability to re-open as well.

We are doing everything we can to plan accordingly. In addition, this next few weeks will also give us time to monitor how re-opening is going in our city with Covid still present. We still have cases and deaths every day.

Please keep an eye here for updates. We are looking at mid-July for a tentative re-opening date. There will be many new changes in the studio with re-opening and you can view the new studio guidelines on our website www.oleanderpiercing.com under "Covid Guidelines."
