RIRAL currently provides comprehensive assessment, academic instruction, counseling and training services to adults in Central Falls, East Providence, and Woonsocket. Maria Cristina Vallejo is this year's recipient of both the Transition to College (TTC) Scholarship and the Etta Boyle Scholarship.
The Transition to College Scholarship is awarded to a graduating TTC student who demonstrates the potential to succeed in college by maintaining a high level of academic standard throughout the 8-month TTC program.
The Etta Boyle Scholarship is awarded to a graduating TTC student who shows increased confidence in their ability to achieve and succeed. At the end of the program, Cristina's confidence shined through like a bright light. She is truly inspiring to those around her.
A heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to you, Cristina, from all of us at RIRAL and the Transition to College program!
