LUMEN DENTAL

Lumen will no longer offer the dental plan to medicare eligible retirees. This was a decision made by MetLife due to low enrollment in the plan.

MetLife has a standalone dental plan very similar to the Lumen plan they can sign you up for that is about the same premium price of around $39.87. You call MetLife to sign up for the plan. Tell them you are from Lumen. (844 263 8336) The open enrollment for MetLife is Nov 21 to Dec 20 to start the plan on Jan 1, 2026. If you call before open enrollment they will start your plan on Dec 1, 2025. The premium does qualify for HRA reimbursement. You cannot stop the Lumen plan for December.

CWA members at Lumen have overwhelmingly ratified the tentative agreement reached earlier this month. This agreement provides significant wage increases, including improved successorship language to address future sales, and an expanded neutrality agreement that allows for a future for unionized workers at LUMEN.
