Another week, another bad dealership installation. You just can't make this stuff up. Our customer had bought a brand new Brinkley and let the dealer install his solar components. He decided he wanted just a little more solar, so he contacted us to have that done. When he brought the RV into the shop and we started showing him the issues, he asked us to make it right. Installations done right is how we do it, so we ripped out most of his system and reinstalled it. Unfortunately, what we are showing isn't the half of it.

Several upgrades this week, including swapping out failing Epoch 460Ah Elite batteries for the SOK 314Ah batteries in a Brinkley fifth wheel, and adding 800W of solar on a 2026 Newmar New Aire with factory-installed dual inverters (That doesn't allow them to run everything in the RV).

We had previously ripped out the poorly installed system by the dealership and installed everything correctly in the RV with the battery upgrade, but the batteries would not stay on. We let the customer know there was a battery issue at the time. They tried to live with it for 2 weeks and decided that they wanted to change the batteries instead of trying to go through Epoch customer service for replacements or repairs.

We finished this week's job. We Turned On a brand new 2026 Renegade Valencia. We removed the 3 Dragonfly 100Ah batteries. Soon we have a 3 year old class B van coming in with the same batteries that appear to have problems. 4 SOK 314 Ah batteries, Victron Multiplus II inverter, upgraded the solar charge controller, Cerbo GX with a Touch 70 in the basement, 8 inch tablet for inside, and fans to help cool it.
