Our 7th and 8th grade leaders are learning what confidence looks like as students and as athletes.
Many of them dream of playing in college so we’re helping them practice how to shine when the cameras are rolling. These mock interviews are all about building poise, voice, and presence.
This is their first go at it so drop your favorite college and/or pro athlete who always brings confidence to interviews and public speaking.

Meet Malaya Cowles ( .cowles ) 💕

Malaya is a dedicated leader and mentor making an impact on and off the court, she has started up Girls Code within scoreboard where she works closely with girls from Elementary Schools around Winston Salem.

Malaya is passionate about the wellbeing of those around her , and she continues to show up for Scoreboard as she mentors our Elementary girls and boys. We are so happy to have her on our team , and we cannot wait to see the work she does !

Scoreboard would like to say Happy Black History Month 🖤
Black History Month is a time to honor, celebrate, and reflect on the rich heritage, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals throughout history. It recognizes the resilience, brilliance, and cultural impact of the Black community while also acknowledging the struggles and triumphs that have shaped progress.
This month serves as both a tribute to the past and an inspiration for the future, encouraging education, empowerment, and continued advocacy for equity. We respect and honor those who dare to make a change .
We would like to say thank you to those who came before and to those who are everyday paving the way for those to come after !
