March 12: National Alfred Hitchcock Day
Nobody really knows why March 12 is Alfred Hitchcock Day: it’s neither the Master of Suspense’s birthday (that’s August 13), nor does it commemorate the date of his death (that happened on April 29, 1980). In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Downtown Wheaton Association, City of Wheaton Community Relations Commission, and DuPage Art League launch the second annual We are Women, an art exhibit celebrating female artists and women-owned and -managed businesses.
This walking exhibit features 25 female artists’ work, in a variety of mediums including pastels, oils, acrylics, fused glass, pottery, and more, displayed in some of Downtown Wheaton’s women-owned or -managed businesses.
