Kidz Academy

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. I now teach 2nd grade at St. Joseph School in Athens. My class is collecting the tabs off of tin cans. These tabs help benefit the Ronald McDonald House. If you would, please save your tabs and give them to Ms. Ann at Cadence Academy. She will see that I get them. No donation is too small. I appreciate your help in supporting the Ronald McDonald House. 😀

Today, I was emotionally ready to read the sweet post regarding us selling Kidz Academy. Thank you to everyone for the kind words regarding Billy & I making a lifestyle change that will allow us to slow down and enjoy life. We truly loved Kidz Academy & our families. We thank you for sharing your precious child with us and for all of the friendships we have with you. We will miss seeing everyone daily but you will always be a part of us. We will always be grateful and blessed that we started Kidz Academy and for the many children, parents, & staff that it brought into our lives. We pray God keeps his loving arms around you all.

Dear Kidz Academy Families and Friends,

As I attended Brenau University to work on my early childhood education, I dreamt of having my own school to teach young children. In 2005, Kidz Academy was born! We opened Kidz Academy with 5 students and 3 employees. Fast forward 16 years later, we are beyond proud of the positive impact we have made on thousands of children, parents and employees. By providing a stable growth environment for employment, we have witnessed the creation of many long-lasting friendships as people flourished in their careers. By partnering with our employees to provide the strongest foundation of early education, we have been gifted to see the growth of many children and families we have served throughout the years. Now, as they come back to us either as an employee or as a parent themselves, it is the biggest gift of all to witness the ripple effects of the seeds we planted.

After 16 years of pouring our heart and soul into Kidz Academy, Billy and I are excited, yet emotional to announce that we have decided to slow down and enjoy life! It took us some time planning and searching for a company with the “right fit”. We are extremely grateful to have entered into a purchase agreement with an organization that has the same vision, values and culture that we do. An organization that will keep what we have all built together exactly as it is. An organization that will be able to offer more benefits and growth opportunities to our employees than we can. Welcome Back into the Building!

We are very excited to announce that effective Monday, June 21st, you will be allowed to walk your child into the lobby. Please prepare your child that you will not be able to walk them to their class. Hopefully, that day will not be far away.

Please do not enter the building if you have any COVID symptoms or have been around anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID. Parents/guardians will need to wear a mask that covers both the nose and mouth. Only one parent/guardian may walk their child in. No more than two families may be in the lobby at any given time. For the time being, no one may remain in the lobby more than ten minutes. While in the lobby we must keep 6 feet away from others including the staff checking temperatures.

Drop off procedure: Parents will enter the building from the entrance door only (facing the building this is the door to the right). Walk directly to the table for the temperature check. Once the child has been checked, they will walk to their classroom. No one will be permitted to pass the temp check table except the students and the staff. Infants & toddlers will be escorted to their class by a staff member. Parents will go directly to the computer to sign their child in. Parents will immediately exit the building using the exit door.

Afternoon Dismissal Procedure: Parents/guardians that show no symptoms of COVID and have not been around anyone with COVID may enter the lobby to sign their child out. All persons entering the building must wear a mask to cover both the mouth and nose. A staff member will call your child to the front for dismissal. Parents & child will immediately exit by using the exit door.

I want to thank Miss Macy for being my technical support person this week. Without you, Friday would have been a bust. I know it was stressful for you and I am soooooo sorry that you had that stress on you. You are amazing! I know our Pre-K parents are grateful that you saved the day. We all love you Macy!🥰

Happy Sunday! To wrap up the school's End of Year Alphabet Calendar, we have the following activities:

Monday-Wear your favorite team uniform (jersey/shirt) for Letter U.
Tuesday- Watch a Video movie for Letter V.
Wed-Water color painting. X-change with friends for letters W &X.
Thursday-Year End Celebration & Zoom Out! for Letters Y & Z

These activities are for all students & all staff. Have fun!

A huge shout out to all the parents that are remembering to post their child's name where the staff can read it at dismissal time. This helps tremendously. We appreciate your cooperation.
