It’s not Thursday, but this a throwback to a project we did during C*vid (cause we all want to forget). Stenciled wall, custom leather sofa (we designed fully in-house, bold move on our part but we had a vision). Lots of global textiles. Oh and real arrowheads on the walls. Causal, but intriguing.

Did I mention we are huge fans of hand crafted tile? Here our client wanted to represent her work as quilter, with some pink she asked. We did a custom mural on the main wall, creating a unique pattern and adding life to the primary bath. (Full scale art!) We added the pink touch by using a pencil trim. Our amazing builder made sure the tile design was placed exactly centered. Because, let’s be honest, proper ex*****on is the other half of this industry.

We made a change in construction, which is not often for us, but sometimes opportunities present themselves and you have to jump. This was going to be a quartzite slab, but when you meet an artisan who is so skilled at his craft, you have to go all in. This is us going all in. Full wall and details coming…

Site visits days. Takes me back to when I was 10 year old, walking job sites in our newly developed neighborhood, assessing details, and pointing out tweaks. Expect now I get paid for it. 😜

Every project is a labor of love, listening to the client and architecture to craft a unique vision. We wanted to honor the locale, an East Coast seaside home, but provide a contemporary twist. We start with concept, sketches, ideas, and then over time refine and edit.

For materials we used a creamy white, hand crafted tile, as nature is always handcrafted, broken dark limestone floors, and a wood vanity aka nod to driftwood. Overall, it speaks earthy, yet refined and sophisticated. It took our team months to work through the process with the architect and our clients. Design is a journey, and we love it.
