πΌ The amenity-kit arms race in business class is real, and passengers are the ones winning.
What started as a complimentary toothbrush and an eye mask has turned into a full-on competition between airlines, involving multiple fashion brands and design studios. When one side adds a brand new line of skincare to their kits, the other one, all of a sudden, now offers shaving kits. This goes on and on. In this endless rivalry, the passengers are the clear winners.
Airlines now treat amenity kits as a brand statement, designing them to appeal to every passenger on board. To win hearts and minds, some are going further, raising the bar higher than the skincare products and dental kits we are already used to:
Air India, for example, gives business-class passengers a TUMI hard-shell mini-case with a vegan leather patch that can be monogrammed with the passenger's initials at any TUMI store after the flight.
Lufthansa took it up a notch and introduced an on-demand amenity menu in 2026, where passengers can request additional skincare products throughout the flight, much like ordering room service. The concept is currently available in first class only, but the Babor skincare partnership has already extended to business class.

π Wish summer days would last forever? Scandinavia has the answer for that.
In late June, daylight in Scandinavia stretches to 18 or 20 hours, depending on how far north you are. For a few weeks, the sun barely sets. And there is no shortage of ways to spend all that daylight:
π£ Kayaking on the Norwegian fjords at 10 pm in full daylight, with the water calm and the light low on the mountains
π₯Ύ Hiking ridgelines in Lofoten at midnight with the same visibility you would have at noon
β΅ Sailing out to the islands of the Stockholm archipelago on June 21 for Midsummer, where locals raise the maypole and dance in a tradition that has been running for centuries
π· Catching live jazz performances across Copenhagen's courtyards, parks and streets during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, which runs for ten days in early July
π Swimming in Copenhagen's harbor pools in clean open water
And compared to the Mediterranean in July, the crowds are nowhere near as bad.
