The Williams Police Department Bike Unit is out on patrol during the Williams Historic Route 66 Car Show, helping keep the event safe, family-friendly and enjoyable for everyone.

With thousands of visitors and hundreds of amazing vehicles filling downtown Williams, officers on bikes are able to interact with the community, navigate crowded areas and respond quickly when needed.

The City of Williams has been made aware of a recent increase in spam and phishing emails that appear to come from City employees and request payments, financial information, or other sensitive details.

Please be advised that these emails may be fraudulent. If you receive an email claiming to be from a City of Williams employee that requests payment, banking information, gift cards, wire transfers, or any other financial transaction, do not respond, click any links, or open any attachments until you have verified the request.

If you have any questions about the legitimacy of an email, please contact the City of Williams directly using official phone numbers or contact information listed on the City's website.

The City of Williams takes cybersecurity seriously and is actively monitoring this situation. We encourage all customers to remain vigilant and report suspicious emails.

The outage area is generally located on the highlighted corridors shown on the map below, including:
* W Route 66
* W Railroad Ave corridor
* W Grant Ave corridor
* N 7th St corridor
* S 6th St corridor
* W Franklin Ave
* W Cataract Lake Rd
* Railroad and Santa Fe Railway areas

Please plan ahead and unplug sensitive electronics before the outage begins. Thank you for your patience as we complete this important system conversion work to improve electric reliability for our community.
