As I watched the parade, I couldn’t help but think about my 13-year-old self. I never imagined I’d grow up to own a small business, much less have the courage to publicly stand for something so deeply personal.
When we placed the Pride chair in our storefront window, it was a little scary. Small businesses take risks every day, and you never know how people will respond.
But the chair has unintentionally become more than part of our brand.
It has become a reminder of what we hope every person experiences when they walk through our doors:
Welcome. Seen. Valued.
Those words aren’t reserved for one community. They’re the foundation of the kind of business we want to build and the kind of neighbor we want to be.
