Here’s my story of survival, love and hope on the streets of Wichita, KS. Thank you for following my journey! 🖤

Wolfie used to live in our little neighborhood and would get out on a regular basis to come say hello. He is a good, sweet dog if anyone is looking for a husky. He truly deserves a furever home! ❤️

Dog returned to Wichita shelter after drunken driver hit fence. He needs new home

It breaks my heart to see this happening all of a sudden so today, I left a note asking it to stop.

Our neighborhood has spent the last three years caring for the homeless husky making sure he has food, water and people looking out for him every single day.

We know people mean well when they leave food but PLEASE STOP leaving table scraps and these food piles by the fence. Tomatoes, spoiled produce and random leftovers are not healthy for dogs and they are making him sick. Good intentions can still cause harm.

If you truly want to help him, the best thing you can do is help by keeping him healthy and safe! ❤️

This is a friendly reminder to our neighborhood — please do not leave out cooked leftovers or scraps like this for the husky.

While it is very kind— some foods with cooked bones, corn cobs, grease, seasoning, and large amounts of table scraps like this can actually make dogs very sick like it has been doing to him. He brought this bowl over to our yard this morning and I already had to clean up a mess and deal with him getting sick in our yard on more then one occasion. Now I know why 😢

He is being fed proper dog food and always has access to food and fresh water at several of our homes. The best way to help him is by keeping him safe and healthy for as long as we can.

Thank you for understanding and caring about him! ❤️

The Homeless Husky has been living in our neighborhood for over 3 years now. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t pray someone will come forward to give him the safe, loving forever home that he SO DESERVES.

He knows that we won’t hurt him so he feels safe coming into our yard and often visits us so we do what we can to help him every day. In his own way, he looks out for our neighborhood but this boy deserves so much more than just surviving day to day.

We plan on traveling more this summer and I don't know what else to do. This has taken a huge toll on my mental health. I lose sleep, I worry constantly about his safety and it has left me feeling completely worn down. One of our male dogs does not do well with other dogs after losing our sweet doxie back in December so we sadly will never be able to take him in.

We've been trying for the last 3 years. We cannot safely get him on a leash or get him to come inside our house. I was bitten by one of the dogs he used to run around with in the beginning so I’m honestly scared to try to even catch him now. He is still skiddish and he will run anytime he feels threatened or like he might be trapped.

My heart is hoping someone out there can step up for him. He is a sweet dog and he really deserves a chance at a better life! ❤️

Monthly Husky Update ❤️

From surviving to THRIVING. To see him roll around, play with toys and just be a happy dog is some thing that we will never take for granted. He’s doing well and living his best life because of all the love and support behind him! ❤️

He is still doing great!
Happy, Resilient and one of the toughest dogs that I know! ❤️🐾

If anyone happens to see the Neighborhood Husky roaming around in the next couple days please know that he does have a warm insulated shelter and is using it as I type this message. I know he is one of the breeds that loves this weather but we all can't help but worry about him. He is safe and staying warm. Praying for all the furbabies! ❤️🐶🙌

🥺 It’s very likely that dogs in our community will die tonight.

🚨The weather is forecasted to have a windchill of -13 degrees tonight. With VERY few exceptions, dogs cannot safely withstand these temperatures for long. 🚨

📢 Do NOT mind your own business this week.

📞 If you see outdoor only dogs with no or inadequate shelter, call someone! (Please note that there are some breeds, if the dogs are adults and healthy, who are not at as much risk as others. These may include Huskies, Malamutes, Great Pyrenees, Newfoundlands, Bernese Mountain Dogs, etc.)

PLEASE speak for those without a voice! Their lives may depend on you…

The neighborhood husky pulled a classic “Be right back!"

He disappeared for about 5 days last week to go make some new friends by Kelley Elementary but he is back in our neighborhood and has been for a few days. He's doing okay, safe and currently in full recovery mode, literally!

So sorry for making everyone in our neighborhood worry and not posting updates. We lost one of our furbabies a few weeks ago and it has taken a little time for me to catch my breath. Thank you to everyone who has been checking on Husky Boy and our family!❤️

I wanted to apologize for being MIA lately. We’ve had our hands full caring for one of our furbabies who is not doing very well and needing lots of TLC.

Handsome Husky is doing great though and feeling so much love this Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who has dropped off snacks and toys —— our front yard turns into his little treasure hunt every evening. We are so grateful for all of you! 🎅❤️

As the sun sets on another day, we are reminded why this page exists.

To care for him.
To protect him.
To keep him safe.

Thank you to each and every one of you who continues to support Husky boy and his journey! ❤️
