After almost 5 full years of being a Broker I'm finally getting all of my Health contracts under one roof...

This will save me from some major headaches come open enrollment!

I had 6 carrier contracts with 4 different FMO's just for the under65 market alone. I didn't choose for it to be that way. It's that the FMO's I linked up with had little to no communication after the producer contract has been submitted.

Hell, I had to call the carrier directly just to see who the contract was with and honestly, that is sad... (There's more to that one but I'll save that conversation for another post)

So my advice to new agents that are leaving the captive world or just new agents in general is that it is very important that you get set up with an FMO that suits all of your needs: Carrier access, Trainings, Agent Support, and Technology. If any of those areas are lacking 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️

It's ok to vet your potential FMO's, because in all reality they are vetting you at the same time! 💥

This enrollment season, I will be the most prepared that I have ever been and that excites the hell out of me!!! This will also be the year I add Medicare, Group Health, as well as 🦆Aflac🦆benefits such as critical, terminal, accidental plans to my portfolio.
