Currently, we are a team of five: staff members Kristin Wade and Kiana Broadley plus our youth workers Trinity, Dani, and Aden. We work out of our small basement studio in Wichita, Kansas. We create a variety of pottery and ceramic pieces, both hand-thrown and cast. All of our glazes are lead-free and food safe. We love to do wedding registries! te and we’ll be glad to work with you. Legacy PotteryWorks was born from a desire to respond to God’s call and to use our pottery skills to employ at-risk youth in the Wichita area. We envision that PotteryWorks will help youth with interests in art and/or business to develop greater confidence and self-efficacy, which can help them discover their own sense of vocation and purpose in the world. Currently we have two youth employees, but we would love to offer more jobs as we grow. Your support helps us provide our youth with quality job experience; we help them develop pottery skills and appropriate work place behavior, both of which are transferable to other job experiences. PotteryWorks is a branch of Legacy Ministries, which already employs at-risk youth to work in urban gardens. Legacy Ministries' vision is to see Christ transform lives through creativity and community. We focus on at-risk youth and share God’s love through creative adventures such as art and music day camps during the summer, community outreach in an under-served neighborhood in Wichita, and our two youth employment programs centered on gardening and ceramics.
