I'm excited to share these four one-of-a-kind mahjong tables, each thoughtfully refinished to create a beautiful, dedicated space for one of today's most popular games. Inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns found in various mahjong tile sets and mats, every table has its own unique personality while blending artistry with function.

3 of the 4 tables began as vintage pieces and were professionally cleaned, prepped, and refinished using high-quality, professional grade products for a durable, lasting finish. The scallop-edged "Just (Navy &) Peachy" table was custom-built and now has a beautiful fabric-like finish. Recently completed in a custom home by Fahsholtz Construction, these two spaces were designed to feel layered, artistic, and completely one-of-a-kind. The powder bath features a 5-layer finish inspired by grasscloth, built with a metallic base, a layer containing gold tinsel, and a soft shimmery top coat that catches the light beautifully throughout the space. Each layer was rolled, troweled, and manipulated by hand using a variety of specialty tools to create movement and texture.

The master bedroom feature wall was inspired by the sconces and finished with 3 custom layers. The final layer combines 4 different plasters and paints to create depth and dimension. One of the most important parts of this process is ensuring every area feels unique, allowing the finish to feel organic and artistic rather than repetitive, as with wallpaper. Thoughtful details and handcrafted finishes like these create timeless focal points that bring warmth, character, and individuality into a home for years to come.
