Airport officials expect major changes as growth continues - Newton Kansan While the last 12 months have been a period of growth for the Newton City/County Airport the expectation is there will be even more – and for that growth the facility will have to open up land for lease on the east side of the facility.

👩‍🌾👨‍🌾The Snows have founded a micro-farm at their Newton home, specializing in squash and pumpkins that are pest resistant. They sell seeds and Kansas roasted coffee world wide, and will sell squash and pumpkins at the farmers market when they are ready.

The Newton City Commission has begun the process of removing the two current members of the Newton Housing Authority board, citing concerns about communication, resident complaints and leadership issues. The commission also appointed three new members, with a public hearing scheduled for June 23 before any final termination of old members.
