Communication - Partnership - Collaboration - Progress
These are 4 very meaningful and powerful action verbs that create the pathway that will make or break the opportunity to bring forth community change that is truly impactful and transformative.
This week my Greater Wichita Partnership colleagues Tami Bradley, Ricki Ellison and I facilitated a National League of Cities in-person site visit to Wichita, Kansas as a part of my U.S. Economic Development Administration/International Economic Development Council's Economic Recovery Corps project! Having traveled from Washington, D.C., it was truly a pleasure welcoming Tomeka Lee, MPH and Samantha Pedroza to their first visit to The Air Capital!
Time was well spent introducing NLC colleagues to the community and organizational leaders on our pathway who are advancing THE WORK that strengthens this community! Thank you to our electeds, Lily Wu, Councilwoman Becky Tuttle, and Councilman Joseph Shepard, MPA, for joining us! Thank you to the leadership of Child Start, Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO), Kansas Health Foundation, City of Wichita- Government, OneCommunity, City of Derby, Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas, WCCAP Child Care Subgroup, and Downtown Wichita for your presence, invitations, engagement, and highlights of your work in our region!
