This week in Cricket 1, we began our exciting new Pond Life unit! The children explored the wonderful world of ponds and the animals that call them home through a variety of hands-on activities.

We had fun examining pond water in our sensory table, where the children explored different textures and discovered what they might find in a pond habitat. During circle time, we enjoyed singing the "Five Little Ducks" and "I Had a Little Turtle" nursery rhymes, helping to build language skills, rhythm, and memory.

The children also learned about the frog life cycle, discovering how frogs grow from tiny eggs into tadpoles and eventually into adult frogs. For art, they created an adorable turtle craft, practicing their fine motor skills and creativity.

We wrapped up the week with a special Fun Friday, where the children cooled off with water play and celebrated summer with an ice cream party! It was the perfect way to end a week full of learning, sensory exploration, and fun.
