Safety, skills, and stewardship in action! 🌲🪚

Today, Flathead Trails Association hosted a Chainsaw Safety & Certification Course, helping volunteers and trail stewards build the skills needed to safely maintain and improve our local trail systems.

A huge thank you to everyone investing their time to learn, train, and give back to the trails we all enjoy. These certifications are critical to keeping our trail crews safe and effective in the field. And a big thank you to chainsaw trainers Rick Mathies & Ron Brandt

Trails Fest is a celebration of the people, recreation organizations, and passion behind our local trails.

Hosted by Flathead Trails Association, it brings together trail users, builders, and advocates to connect, learn, and give back. From volunteer opportunities to hands-on demos, it’s all about turning trail users into trail stewards.

And it’s not just about the work—enjoy live music, local food and drinks, raffles, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.

At its core, Trails Fest celebrates the outdoors and the incredible community that makes it all possible.
