We have so much to be thankful for this year. Between opening Kay VK Design and having a baby on the way, this year has been more challenging than any others before! But what better gifts are there?

Opening my own interior design shop/studio with a service component has been my dream since I was 16, and it was a dream that evolved over the years. This was solidified when I finished my semester abroad in Italy and knew that I wanted to support Vite Transformate, and that I was going to use interior design to do it. (There’s a much longer story here that I’d love to share with anyone interested!)

So in mid 2021, Blake and I decided it was time to take the leap - which was terrifying and liberating all at once! Having this work-from-home job also tied into being able to stay home with our future kids, and still keep my passion for design going. So now after year 1 of the business being open (almost), the fact that we’re expecting our first in just a few weeks feels like a culmination of what we’ve been working towards.
