PART 2! I promised some cold emailing/cold contact tips that work, so here they are:
1. Research your prospective client before you reach out. You should know whether they need your service, how your service can help them and what their main business focus is long before you slide in their inbox. Demonstrate that you care about more than just making a sale.
2. Provide and demonstrate value early on. If your prospective client hasn’t interacted with you or your brand before, you need to show them why they should. Loss leaders (low cost/free offerings to assist in demonstrating value to a client) are a great way to demonstrate this value.
3. Confidence. This is in direct response to number 3 in part 1 of this post. Your level of confidence directly translates into trust from a prospective client. If you don’t seem sure of yourself, why would a client feel sure of you?
4. (Bonus!) be patient before following up with your lead. This is an ice cold lead, so you can’t expect the same level of interest that you have with warm or hot leads. Give your lead a chance to view your offering on their own time- I recommend waiting a full week before following up, but mileage in your industry may vary.

Personal brands are all about putting a face on your product or service. The same goes for social influencing. Are you creating content for your personal brand? Is it sending the message you want to communicate?

Sometimes the logistics of a shoot (specifically the run & gun/on location shoots) don’t allow for storing gear. You just have to configure your kit that makes carrying it all day feasible. When that happens, it helps to get creative.
Pro-tip: a hand strap on your camera body can be used to buckle the camera to your backpack strap. Perfect hands-free camera storage so you can focus on transporting the rest of your kit!
