You may have heard of the recent changes to the CDC immunization schedule. The state of Colorado and Pediatrics West continue to provide and administer vaccines following the best scientific guidance. This means we will now follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics as opposed to the new-changed guidance from the CDC. Currently, insurers have committed to following and providing coverage for the AAP schedule of vaccines. We know the conflicting guidance can be confusing and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

🌟 Vaccine Update from Pediatrics West 🌟

✅ We have received our Sanofi Fluzone preservative-free influenza vaccine and are now scheduling appointments.
📅 Saturday Flu Clinics are on October 11 & November 15 (by appointment only)
🚫 No urgent care clinic on these dates.

📲 How to Schedule
- Use MyChart to schedule vaccine appointments (this helps reduce wait times).
- 1 child per appointment slot (COVID-19 vaccine scheduling is not available yet).
- In the appointment notes, please write, 'FLU Vaccine (plus how many parents for Flu) -- Example: “Flu Vaccine + 2 parents”

💉 Parents & Caregivers
- Flu shots are available for parents/caregivers for $35.
- We do not bill insurance, but a receipt will be provided to submit to your plan.

👶 Important Details
-Patients must be at least 6 months old to receive the flu vaccine.
-No walk-ins — appointments only via MyChart or by calling 720-284-3700.

📝 Consent Forms
- A completed Flu Vaccine Consent Form is required and can be downloaded on the Flu Services page of our website.

This weekend we remember and honor all those who gave their lives in service to our country. In honor of Memorial Day, we will NOT be having sick child walk-in clinic on Saturday, May 24th, and will be closed on Monday, May 26th.
