This clever concept in the creation of Janet Hattlestad and Dr. Jeff Young , the proprietors of Planned Pethood Plus, Denver’s affordable quality care veterinary clinic. Since opening the clinic in 1990, the couple have made it their life’s work to help our four legged friends. In 2001, Dr. Young began Planned Pethood International, a non-profit dedicated to spay & neutering around the world. Every time a customer purchases from Planet Pet, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to saving animals and finding them good homes as well as spay/neuter projects. “Everyone has to buy pet supplies, why not put that money to a good cause.”

Planet Pet works with Best Pets and Planned Pethood Plus, in finding adoptable pets and making sure they are healthy and happy prospective adoptees. Each pet has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and given a clean bill of health (their first visit to the veterinarian is free). Our staff spends quality time with each of the animals and knows how to match the animal with the perfect home, we do our best because our animals deserve the best. You can find Planet Pet working with Best Pets holding mobile adopt-a-thons, or educating their neighbors at street fairs on the importance of pet nutrition.
