Summer is in full swing and we are telling kids to get outside and play, which is great. However, it is also important to keep reading together as well. It is critically important for our youngest patients that caregivers continue to read aloud to them. Electronics and videos do not provide the type of connection and direct interaction that is required for learning. Reading as little as 20 minutes every day will expose your child to 1.8 million words per year and significantly boosts vocabulary, enhances critical thinking, rewires your brain to improve focus and adaptability.
