Thank you everyone for your kindness and support during this time! As a newcomer to Dubai, not gonna lie I was a bit shocked to find myself in a situation I’ve never ever been in before (the UAE being attacked by Iran), and more stressed to be facing it without my partner who was away on business.
When his flight was cancelled we did what committed couples do: communicate clearly and openly, honestly expressing our concerns and look for solutions, not stepping over the emotional experience. We chose to lean in together, with a 12 hour time difference, and support each other. It really made all the difference in navigating this extraordinary time!
As it turns out, the UAE is remarkable in how it’s defending itself and its citizens’ safety. I’m proud to be a resident here and moved at how I’ve need welcomed so warmly.
Gary is back and although the although strikes are still happening, we are facing it together 🫶🏼
Thank you, I love you, we will carry on and get through this.

Hello again, Love Train friends. ✨
I’ve been quiet here for a while due to illness, and as we step into the new year, I wanted to share where I’ve been.
Some moves are physical. Some are internal.
My relocation to Dubai collided with chronic vertigo, and suddenly my body took over the narrative.
I wrote honestly about what happened and what this new chapter is teaching me.

While Gary’s already in Dubai, I’m still here—waiting on one thing: my cats.
Dash, my 11-year-old Russian Blue, has failed two rabies titre tests, which means he doesn’t meet the UAE’s strict pet import rules. We’re trying one last vaccine, and if he fails again, we’ll have to rehome both cats together (they’re bonded—splitting them isn’t an option).
Thankfully, my amazing aunt has offered to adopt them, but I’m still holding space and intention that our little family can stay together.
So here’s my bold request:

Let’s hold the vision that he passes the next test and we can finally fly home—all of us.
