August 10th, is Agent Orange Awareness Day. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that 2.6 million veterans have been exposed to Agent Orange, but there are other studies which indicate that the actual number of veterans exposed to Agent Orange is much higher. Today, the VA has recognized certain cancers and other health problems as presumptive diseases associated with exposure to Agent Orange or other herbicides during military service.
