The West Springfield 250th Committee is committed to throwing a celebration that encompasses all our community has to offer. Donations to the West Springfield 250th Anniversary are secured to be used ONLY for 250th Celebration expenses. Remaining proceeds will go back to the town in the form of scholarships and community service projects.

As 2024 comes to a close, so does West Springfield’s 250th anniversary. Here is a recap of some of the bigger events that occurred during the anniversary celebration. On February 23, the town celebrated its 250th anniversary at Clark Field, with a fireworks display to end the night. On May 18, a Masquerade Gala was held at Storrowton Tavern & Carriage House, featuring reenactments of historic town figures, a historic slideshow and more. From June 22-23, West Springfield held a two-day block party on the town common, featuring vendors, food trucks and more. On August 24, the town had its 250th anniversary parade, the last big event of the year.

As for 2025, future posts will focus more on the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the role that West Springfield played in the war, as well as events leading up to it.
