Colorful Resilience will be closed on this Monday as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — a man who dedicated his life to justice, equality, and the fight for the dignity of all people.
No, we will not be watching the presidential inauguration. A president who fails to protect and value the lives of everyone — including women, immigrants, and trans people — does not deserve a moment of our attention.
Instead, we encourage you to spend this day reflecting on the work that still needs to be done to achieve Dr. King’s vision, and to take meaningful action in your communities. Let’s stand together, resilient and united, for a brighter and more inclusive future.

Acceptance is about really taking care of our transgender and gender-diverse youth. In this workshop, Dr. Avilés will take us through a journey of how to get to the final goal of accepting our youth and why. The struggles to get there will be validated as we move to work towards greater acceptance of who our trans and gender-diverse youth are so that we can help them navigate, with compassion, the process of safely getting their gender-related needs met.
