Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809. Despite being in his 20s when he traveled around the world on the HMS Beagle, it wasn’t until 1859 that he published On the Origin of Species… which ends in this beautiful sentence.
It’s hard to choose a favorite Darwin quote, but this ranks near the top.
