Temporary Structures & the 2024 IBC – What You Need to Know

From clearer definitions and permitting thresholds, to specific provisions for wind, snow, and seismic loads, Chapter 31 now directly supports the entertainment industry with updated standards and referenced documents like ANSI E1.21 and ES1.7.

These updates help ensure safer, more efficient temporary installations—and recognize the real-world practices we’ve relied on for years.
