Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about “balance”. I don’t think I’ve found it.

Some days the business gets the best version of me. Some days my son gets the best version of me. Some days neither does.

There are days I’m answering emails while making breakfast, building boards after bedtime, and wondering if I’m giving enough of myself to either role.

I love this business. I love being Axel’s mom. But trying to do both well can be really hard.

Social media usually shows the finished grazing tables, the pretty boards, and the highlights. It doesn’t always show the early mornings, the takeout in the car between deliveries, the mom guilt, or the constant feeling that there’s still more to do.

This post isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s just a reminder that behind every small business is usually someone juggling far more than what makes it onto social media.
