Stormwater BMPs play a critical role in land development ๐Ÿ’ง๐ŸŒŽ

As land is graded and prepared for development, Best Management Practices (BMPs) are used to manage how fast rainwater leaves a site. Peak flow is the highest rate of runoff leaving a site during a storm, and controlling it helps reduce erosion and protect downstream creeks, roads, and properties. Common BMPs include detention and retention ponds, infiltration basins, bioswales, underground systems, and permeable surfaces. Because every site is different, the right BMP depends on how much land drains to it, soil type, slope, available space, and long-term maintenance needs.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Which BMP do you think is most effective for controlling peak stormwater flow? Comment below โฌ‡๏ธ
