This Juneteenth, we honor freedom, resilience, and the power of stories to preserve history and inspire future generations. We recommend Juneteenth for Maxie by Floyd Cooper to read with children in your life today to learn more about the significance of this day!

We are grateful to Bain Capital’s continued support of the Read Aloud Mentoring Program in Greater Boston! Their $25,000 grant will help us continue bringing the program to students that need it most. Here are some photos of Bain volunteers at the Josiah Quincy School’s end of year celebration—thanks for everything you do, Bain Capital!

We had a great time last night at our annual Greater Boston Team Trivia Night! We raised $14,000 for the Read Aloud Mentoring Program, and had fun doing it. Our winners this year were the team from Boston Trust Walden, led by Board member Dan Le who also won last year! Congrats to the winning team after a close game, and thanks to everyone for the support and enthusiasm!

We’ve had wonderful end of year celebrations over the last couple of weeks! The Read Aloud Mentoring Program has come to a close for this school year. We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work this year, and grateful to our volunteers for dedicating their time. We’re also thankful for our funding partners, who ensure that we can continue to run this program without taking from school resources. We wish everyone a great summer!

These photos are from our Harmony Grove and Condon schools!
