Tonight, while the rest of the family gathered to watch the fireworks as we do every year, Caden and I stayed behind. He’s been having a very tough time, and being in public spaces just isn’t something he can manage for too long right now even though I never give up trying completely. But my mom, in all her love and wisdom, FaceTimed us so we could still be part of the celebration. ❤️ Even though we weren’t there physically, we were included. And honestly, that small gesture meant everything. Inclusion isn’t just something we talk about in school or at work, online or in sensory gyms — it’s a way of life. It’s in our choices, the compassion, and the love that finds a way.
