A fun before and after for you, the dining room at our project.
The door to the kitchen was removed. Then new wood floor stain, paint, light fixture, wallpaper, window treatments and furnishings. And, voila!

Curiosity and inspiration are key to keeping our creative juices flowing.
I’ve been reminiscing on our visit to Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House, on the coast of Gloucester. It was the summer home of early professional interior designer Henry Davis Sleeper. The estate’s 40 “themed” rooms are filled with his collections. I’m a lover of both glassware and colorful interiors so my tour felt a little like Christmas morning. I was in awe of the fearlessness of Sleeper’s designs.
If you ever have a chance to visit, it’s a must!
Fun Fact: I got engaged in Gloucester and Cape Ann is one of my all time favorite places. Great day trip for Bostonians, DM me for recs!
And, it’s the best kind of art because people get to live in and experience it. 😉
Making art has always been a huge part of my life. When I was a kid and teen, I took countless classes. At one point, I was making art 3-5 nights a week at a local art academy after school got out. I sketched still life scenes, sketched live models, worked with pastels & charcoals, practiced watercolor and acrylic painting, threw pottery, experimented with mixed media, dabbled in printmaking (the list goes on)… I loved the feeling of creating. That said, nothing quite felt 100% right for me as a career. I realized at some point it was because I wanted to work with and for people. I built a portfolio with the goal of going to design school and never turned back! Interior design merges my love for art with my desire to collaborate and experience my creativity alongside others.
