Hello to the many friends and fans of Christopher DiCesare, the Ghost Boy of Erie Hall and SUNY Geneseo:
Like many of you, I have enjoyed his public appearances, presentations, as well as the conversations that I have had with him. I believe Chris when he shares his reflections on the experiences inside of Erie Hall, and I believe in him as a person. I have seen him light up a room with his passion for life, and have witnessed his sense of humor bring smiles to even the saddest of faces.
It is with great concern that I share with you that Chris was recently diagnosed with a rare form of retinal cancer. He will be undergoing multiple surgeries during the week of June 1st at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. His spirits are high (as you might expect) and he is prepared to win this fight!
But he and his family will be facing many challenges: physical, emotional, and financial. That is why, as his publisher and his friend, I have decided to make his book – The Ghost Boy of Erie Hall – which had been scheduled for an October release (in conjunction with the upcoming mini-series) available immediately! In the coming days, you will be able to order copies of the special Ghost Boy Strong Edition of the book.
In order to support Chris and his family, the majority of the proceeds from the sale of this special edition along with other Ghost Boy Strong merchandise items will go directly to help offset the challenges that lay ahead. And what better way is there to support Chris than to let him know that we care, and that we value his message of positivity and hope. Once he recovers, and those around him feel confident that he will win this battle, imagine his face when you ask him to sign the book or proudly wear the merch that you purchased in order to support him in his greatest time of need.
Visit www.ghostboystrong.com to help Chris.
