Alhamdulillah, we had a wonderful first day at camp!

While our teachers worked with the campers to assess their Quran levels and get to know each student’s abilities, the children enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities and opportunities to connect with one another.

Campers participated in arts and crafts, explored their creativity with playdough, completed puzzles, and enjoyed free play together.

We also played an icebreaker game that encouraged campers to communicate with one another, ask questions, learn each other’s names, and discover shared interests. It was a great way to help new friendships begin to form and make everyone feel more comfortable.

One of the highlights of the day was our Marshmallow Tower Challenge, where campers worked together to design and build towers using spaghetti and marshmallows. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and determination as they experimented with different designs.

Campers also participated in Islamic Studies, where they learned about the Pillars of Islam and the importance of having sincere intentions in our actions. We prayed salah together and reflected on the importance of ikhlas (sincerity) through a short khatira.

The campers also enjoyed their first Robotics session and had the opportunity to begin exploring the program for the summer.

Throughout the day, friendships began to form, laughter filled the room, and campers had the opportunity to learn, create, and have fun together.

We are looking forward to an exciting summer ahead, inshaAllah!
