I was pushing a shopping cart around HEB this afternoon when I got news that my steer won the GA national! I had to call Freddy Schauer tonight and ask him when the last time I won a major steer show. It was 2011 when Cuatro won Austin. So 13 years later everything lined up and we had had the best show cow at a major. That euphoria still hasn’t worn off. It reminded me of why we keep swing for the fences as a part timer/has been! 🥰
Most importantly to give credit where credit is due this one wasn’t turn key.. he had a switch in his head and it took a lot of work to get him showed. JT Sumner and his niece Jalynn worked hard to make it happen. Thankful, happy and refreshed with a big shot of ambition to go get some more purple
