The altar is the place of surrender. For Abraham, it revealed exactly what his hands were holding.

In Genesis 22:2, God said, "Your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac." He was naming every layer of Abraham's heart.

He wasn't being casual or vague. He was putting His finger on the most precious thing in Abraham's life.

That's what surrender does. It always reveals what our hands are holding.

It reveals what we love, what we fear losing, what we're tempted to control, and what's become too central.

More than that, it reveals whether our hands are open or closed before God.

God never needed Isaac. The altar was really a question: did Abraham trust Him when it cost everything?

Can you trust God not only to give you the promise, but to hold it when you release it back into His hands?
