From all of us at WayneAMERICA Fly-In: We celebrate this Memorial Day in solemn honor for all the Men and Women who have sacrificed all, in protection and in service to this great Nation.

STOL Drag Saturday night under the lights was one amazing way to end the competitions for WayneAmerica Fly-in 2023.

With winds pushing back the start time, qualifying and finals were condensed. That meant matchups were paired and racers had to be on their "A" game with little to no errors for margins.

In the end Steve Henry held onto his throne as the top spot for STOL Drag at WayneAmerica Fly-In 2023.

The top five rounded out with Austin Clemens taking second place, Kurt Leaders in third, Jeff Pohl in fourth and Rick Boardman in fifth.

Championship Saturday at WayneAmerica Fly-In did NOT dissapoint at the National STOL course.

With champions crowned in six different categories and some interesting story lines playing out in the afternoon. Led by the touring class, with Brandon Corn being upset by Warren Grobbelaar, ending Brandon's perfect 2023 season streak of victories.

Jaden Newman captured the top prize in the extremely competitive Sport Class by beating Rick Boardman by only two (count'em two) combined feet. The Adventure class had Brian Steck claiming the top prize.

And in the unlimited class, Steve Henry bested Dan Reynolds by coming from behind to claim the top prize in National STOL competitions.

-8am-11am STOL Drag Qualification runs
-11am-5pm National STOL Finals
-5pm-930pm STOL DRAG Finals "Under the Lights" (Presented by McFarlane Aviation Products & WAT)
-930pm (after STOL Drag Concludes): Awards ceremony for both National STOL
-930pm-end of day ECKO

This Saturday is also packed with action "off" the field and in the main concourse of WayneAmerica. Here is a short list of some of those items:

-11AM-12PM: Careers in Aviation Panel
-9AM-1PM: WayneAmerica Classic Car "Cruise-In" sponsored by Timberlyne
-11AM - 2PM: REDBIRD Flight Simulator is open and Sponsored by UNO Flying Club

Food trucks show up pretty much all day with lots to choose from near the main infield windsock. Beer sales go late into the night.
