I won’t be on this black and white mark-making kick too much longer, but it’s been a good exercise experimenting with tools and gestural brush strokes.
It’s also served as therapy for me while dealing with chronic pain issues. While I’ve had improvement in recent months with epidurals, they do wear off, so it’s a constant roller coaster ride from one treatment until the next. Marking Time by making marks! 🫤

I’m delighted that my new black and white painting “Maelstrom” was selected by juror Kassem Amoudi for inclusion in Wayne Art Center’s “Attraction to Abstraction” exhibition. The show opens tomorrow and runs concurrently with Wayne’s annual CraftForms exhibit.
