Join us this Thursday at 9 am for Coffee and Community! We will meet at the Laura Walker State Park Interpretive Center and embark on a short nature hike. All ages are welcome to this pet friendly event!

It's Sunday, which means we're back with another Satilla Species Spotlight! This week we're shouting out the Little Blue Heron, which you can find year-round in our local estuaries, marshes, and swamps. The Little Blue Heron is a small, blue waterbird often seen nesting with other waterbird species such as the Egret! As juveniles, Little Blue Herons blend in perfectly with their Egret counterparts, allowing them to cohabitate with this species. This greatly improves their survival!
